Revelation 3:13-22 I stand at the door and knock.

The question today is this, have you ever tried to have a one way relationship.  One in which the person you were trying to build something with was interested, but was so busy with the situation at work they did not have time to talk.  What if this person just did not want to take the time to build that friendship that Father intended?  Father stands at the door of everyone’s heart, and knocks.  The question is are we to busy to hear his knocking, or accept his “phone calls” to find out what he has for each and every one of us.  Put yourself in his position. You stand outside of a door for days knowing the person you want to have fellowship is inside.  You knock, and knock. That person has told you they care about you, yet they will not answer the door.  So you sit and wait, and wait. Then the person opens the door, steps out, gives you 30 seconds, tells you just how much you really mean to them, and goes back inside.  You then sit outside for days and days waiting for another brief encounter.  Seven day’s as a matter of fact.  This time they give you an hour maybe hour and a half.  Then you sit outside the door for another week, waiting for that brief encounter.   Can you just imagine trying to build a relationship with a person given this scenario?   It cannot be done.  One cannot build a relationship without communications.  The Christ said through John, I stand at the door and knock.  Anyone who opens I will come in and sup with him.  All we have to do is open the door.  All we have to do is be willing to give Father through the Son by the Spirit time to build a relationship.

Open that door
