Psalm 91:14-16
Father says because we love him he will rescue us.
And yes, he even rescues us from ourselves.  As I look back on my life I see time after time when I could have been taken out, yet Father protected me.  I see mistakes I have made and Father showed me how to correct them.  I see things that have happened that looked as if they would destroy me and Father always comes through.  He uses his people in many instances to deliver us from the destruction that some would visit upon us.  But here is the crux of the matter.  Father does not want to simply be God in our lives.  He wants intimacy with us.  He wants to be part of all that we do. He wants our love for him to be the love of caring and devotion that we would have for that one person he has given us that is closest to us.  When we have a need, or at least think we do, he wants us to bring that need to him.  Psalm 46 states God is our refuge and strength.  He wants to be our protector.  He wants to be more than that however.  In James 4:8 we are told draw near to God (our Father) and he will draw near to us.  Father wants intimacy with us.  Here is the question for the day.  Are you experiencing true intimacy with our Father through the Son by the Spirit?  If not just ask, seek Fathers face daily, and he will draw near to you.
Go in peace
