Isaiah 32:9-15
A warning against complacency.
How many times have we thought, things are going along pretty well, God must be in this. My fellow believer in the Christ this is a very dangerous stance to take. 1st Peter 5:8 Peter writes. Your enemy Satan prowls around like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. Think of the deer during hunting season. It’s a warm fall day. He walks out into an open field to enjoy the sunshine, and becomes steaks in someone’s freezer. Any mistake we make can be used against us. Any slip up can be such a destructive thing that lives of many around us can be destroyed. The enemy will lie, cheat, and kill. Christ came that we may have life and have it abundantly. But to walk into his trap because we are not on our guard constantly is really not a wise thing to do. If you’re out there today thinking of doing anything dishonest or bordering on the unethical don’t. Our testimony must be pure and holy. It must be above reproach. Be on guard constantly.
Go in peace
Michael
