Colossians 3:1-17
In all that we do we must be able to do it in Christ’ name.
Have you ever been in a position where doing something that is not right to do but easier than doing the right thing? There have been times in my life when doing the right thing is hard to do. When we walk into the DMV and they ask us how much we paid for a car. We have a choice. Do we tell them and pay the full tax, or do we tell them a lower figure and save a few bucks. When we pick up 5 items and they charge us for 4 do we correct their mistake? Every day we have choices to make. But the question still comes back to haunt us. Are we willing to do the hard thing and tell the truth? Are we willing to make the choice and forgo our immediate satisfaction for the glory of Him who created us? People are watching us. We claim the name of Christ but are we honoring that name in all that we do? Sometimes doing the right thing is extremely hard. We must however be that person who the Father has touched through the Son by the Spirit in all that we do. We must show the Glory of God through all that we do, no matter what Father is calling us to. We must keep our focus on the Christ and him crucified. We must walk in his goodness and glory in everything that we do.
In everything in word or deed do in the name of Christ.
Go in peace
Michael
