1st Corinthians 1:4-9
What sin are you holding onto?
My friends this is something we do not have a right to do.  This portion of God’s word Paul is telling the followers of Christ that Father  has imparted spiritual gifts onto them.  If we look at Psalm 102:12 we see that he has removed our sin as far as the east is from the west. Our sin is Gone. The blood of Christ shed on the cross has cleansed us.  If Father through the Son by the Spirit has cleansed us from our sin why do we continue to wallow in it?  That is the same blood that cleansed us so we could be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in the newness of life.  As a result we gain the spiritual gifts he gives so that he can use in us to bring more and more people to himself.  Continuing to live in the sins that pulled us down is to make a mockery of the sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf. It is a tool of the enemy to render us non effectual in the gifting that Father has created us to be used in.  We have been redeemed. Because we are redeemed our sins are gone. Because our sins are gone we have nothing to be guilty about. We need to learn from our mistake, receive the forgiveness Christ is offering. And then walk in the newness he is offering.  Stop Holding Onto Old sins. Let them go.
Go in peace
Michael
